Geothermal Heating & Cooling

Saving $ for schools, government, commercial, churches and homes.

Iba Drilling is a certified ground source loopfield installer covering central and mid-western U.S.A.

Save energy, money and the environment with a low maintenance, energy efficient system that uses the earth's natural heat.

Geothermal qualifies for 30% federal tax credit for homeowners, 10% for businesses. Many states and electric companies offer tax credits or rebates for this energy efficient, environmentally clean and cost effective space condition system.

Geothermal or ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) are electrically powered systems that tap the stored energy of the greatest solar collector in existence: the earth. These systems use the earth's relatively constant temperature to provide heating, cooling, and hot water for homes, schools, churches and commercial buildings. A closed loop field absorbs the heat from the polyethylene pipe buried at least 5' below the surface and transfers that heat through the glycol solution to the building. It's safe, long lasting, low maintenance (change a filter) and will save you thousands of dollars over the life of your home or building.

Boreholes are drilled in a grid usually about 15' apart, 205' deep. Iba Drilling headers the pipe into the building, adds the polyethyl glycol and flushes and purges the system. Your mechanical or heating contractor installs the heat pump and duct work inside the building. You are ready to experience comfort and savings. Your home or building will be warm in the winter and cool in the summer, run quietly and will save on interior space for mechanical equipment as most is under your yard, driveway or parking lot or possibly under a football field.
